Angel Lam (composer, story, book)
Angel Lam is a GRAMMY-nominated composer praised as "Timeless" by Carnegie Hall, "Precious, soaring lyrical lines" by Metropolitan Opera’s Opera News, “Dramatic lines and fanciful music” by New York Times and "both poignant and important" by Yo-Yo Ma.
She had received three Carnegie Hall commissions before the age of 29, including a cello concerto dedicated to Yo-Yo Ma and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, commissioned by Carnegie Hall - New York City-wide festival "Ancient Paths, Modern Voices". She was featured in the Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble album "New Impossibilities" and "Off the Map." In the latter, she was nominated for a GRAMMY Award for Best Classical Crossover Album. Her works have been toured and recorded in seventy cities worldwide and are continually being broadcasted/ performed in many cities.
She is one of America’s foremost female composers selected by the League of American Orchestras and Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation. In the 2023-24 season, she is commissioned to write a new work to be performed by five American orchestras: Utah Symphony and Opera, Orchestra Lumos, Jacksonville Symphony, Quad City Symphony Orchestra, and the premiere will be conducted by Michael Stern at Kansas City Symphony.
As composer, librettist and artistic director, her evening-length musical June Lovers was commissioned by the Hong Kong Arts Festival on their 40th anniversary, and garnered acclaim in the Hong Kong press. Her other theatre works have been performed at Theatre Row, Here Arts Centre, National Sawdust Theatre, The Tank, Queens Flushing Town Hall, and The China Institute of New York. She is the recipient of Opera America's prestigious Discovery Grant Award and Hong Kong Arts Development Council Literary Award. She is a member of the Distinguished Artist Council at Johns Hopkins University and on the board of trustees for COTS Chamber Music Series at St. John's Episcopal Church in NYC.
She is a graduate of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and Yale University, and received a doctorate degree in music from Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University.

Richard Caliban (book and lyrics)
Richard Caliban has worked as a playwright and director across the country and internationally. Praised as the "Essence of downtown theatre" by the Village Voice, he was Artistic Director of acclaimed Cucaracha Theatre where he directed many of his plays, including Homo Sapien Shuffle at the Public Theater.
Caliban’s MoM - A Rock Concert Musical won “Outstanding Musical” at the NY Fringe Festival and continued with runs throughout the northeast. He is also known for directing the celebrated Obie and Outer Critics Circle award-winning production of Mac Wellman’s Crowbar at the Victory Theater; and for his collaborations with Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Jules Feiffer; Michael Weller and Will Sheffer (Big Love, HBO). Most recently, he directed a new play on Theater Row produced by film star Bruce Willis; and his new play, Cranium Fandango, a Woodward/Newman Drama Prize Finalist was recently published (Next Stage Press). His work has also been seen at Primary Stages, Playwrights Horizons, Naked Angels, Geva Theater, Cherry Lane Theater, Ensemble Studio Theatre, La Mama, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Denver Center Theatre, Berkshire Theatre Festival, the RS9 Theater in Budapest, the IIkhom Theater in Tashkent Uzbekistan and many others. Richard teaches playwriting at Gotham Writers Workshop in New York City.
